Document Scanning

Everyone has the need sometime to scan a paper document and store it in their PACS archive with the images. InTelemed offers a solution that teams a Kodak paper document scanner with software that allows you to query your PACS archive for patient info and then scan the paper reports right to your PACS system without retyping the patient information. We have recently installed this solution at both Pauls Valley Hospital and Oklahoma City Indian Clinic.

"Wow, that is FAST!" said Christin Crosswhite after first seeing the system at work in her department. "Our physicians will LOVE the ability to view reports and notes with the images, and the system is so fast it won't affect our workflow that much."

Of course the ideal solution is to electronically connect your dictation/reporting system with your PACS archive, but many smaller facilities may not have a good solution for this, so scanning paper documents such as ER notes, ultrasound tech notes or even radiology reports into the PACS archive is a good alternative.
